"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully tailored clothes...and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp...I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really there, and that I really lived."

~Marjorie Hinckley

"Besides the noble art of getting things done, there is a nobler art of leaving things undone. The wisdom of life consists in the elimination of nonessentials." Lin Yutang

Here she is! :)...4 months old

Yes, it's true. The 8th child does not get as many pictures taken by her mother as the first child. (However, I do believe there are more photos out there that were taken by her older sisters.) However, today I have taken a photo of Alora and am posting it for all to see! :) (Yes, I did have some motivation from my sister -in-law to get this done....Thank you , Jenny!)

Isn't Alora just adorable! :) She reminds me a lot of Elise as a baby....content and flexible, happy to go with whatever the schedule is for the day. She's talking a lot lately....she and Brooke have a lot of fun "chatting" :)...now if the rest of us could only understand what they are saying.

Quinn's Baptism Day 5 March 2011

Quinn was baptized by his Dad and Confirmed by his Grandpa Taylor. We were so grateful Grandma Mac could be there as well.

Elise and Savannah sang "When I am Baptized" with Kylie on oboe. Per request, Elise spoke on baptism and I spoke on the Holy Ghost.
The photo below was taken at home after the baptism. Quinn opened gifts....a new set of scriptures and a "Promise" bear. I love Quinn's smile....radiating the joy found in making covenants.

Just a reminder....YOU ARE AWESOME!!!
